What a big boy

Here is Trysten's preschool picture. Isn't he the cutest boy ever? :) I can't believe that he is already in preschool. He still is having a hard time letting me leave him but he gets better every day. He tries to be brave and hold back the tears and asks me about 5 times when I am going to be back to pick him up while I am trying to walk out the door. It breaks my heart but he needs this, otherwise I will be doing this for kindergarten and that would not be fun at all. They had their Thanksgiving feast this week and it was so stinkin' cute. I will post those pics and a video of him singing soon.

Help Me!

Ok, I need some advice. My little Gavin, I love him to death, but he is such a horrible sleeper! I am seriously about to go crazy because I never, ever get any sleep. I don't know what is wrong with him! Some nights he is up every hour, most nights he is up at least 4 times. It is sometimes very hard to get him back to sleep because he is so upset. It's like he wants to just be up and go play or something. We have tried to just let him cry and scream but that doesn't work either. I think he just doesn't require much sleep. Anyway, I am at my wits end with this, it's been way too long since I have had a full night's sleep and I am really starting to show it now. I have no patience with my kids and you would think I am getting alzeimers because I can't even remember what I am doing or talking about half of the time. I am sorry about my complaining but if anyone has any advice or know of any good drugs (just kidding) to get my child to sleep I would be sooooo grateful! Thank you!

The Flash

The Flash lives at our house.
Yes Trysten is obsessed with The Flash from the Justice League. We got him the costume for Halloween about 2 months ago and he's worn it every day since then. The costume got so filthy and worn out I had to buy him another one so he could have a nice, clean, untorn one for halloween. It's pretty hilarious watching him act like the Flash. He would wear it outside and save all of us from the evil villians. He would sit up on the top of our swingset playhouse and wait until someone needed help. Then he would slide down the slide and run like the flash to go save them. Gavin loved this game and would actually lay on the ground with his body straight, his head up, and his hands on his belly waiting for The Flash to rescue him. It is pretty freakin' adorable to watch. Man, I love my boys.

tRiCk oR TrEat sMell mY FeEt

The kids had a blast trick or treating. We went to our ward trunk-or-treat with the Beus family which was a lot of fun. There was another Flash there and Trysten thought that was so cool and he followed him around everywhere he went. He wouldn't talk to him though. :) The building where Keith works also did a little trick or treat thing the day before Halloween. That was kinda fun because we finally got to see where Keith works. Then we went Trick or treating on Halloween with all of the neighbor kids. It was such a warm night so we really enjoyed it. Keith made up a game for the kids so that they would all stay together. The kids loved it. Trysten was going on all night about him not getting any Reeses P.B. cups. The kid loves those (which is understandable) And then when we were halfway through he finally got one and was the happiest boy ever. I thought Gavin would be done after a couple houses and just want to eat his candy but he was totally into it and wanted to go to every house. Towards the end his bucket was so heavy he could barely carry it but he just carried it with both hands and kept on movin' down the street to the next house. It was pretty adorable. Keith and I went to a party afterwards and dressed up as Batman and Batgirl. So we got a picture of all of us in our superhero costumes. Lani and David had a Murder Mystery party on Saturday night. Lani made a delicious dinner for us and we "played out our parts" as we ate. I was an Italian chick who liked to flaunt herself so I wore a nasty wig, lots of makeup, a short skirt and stuffed my bra with socks. Keith was a wannabe soccer player. Of course he decided to make himself a gay soccer player with shorts that were way too short and showed way to much. It was quite disturbing for everyone I am sure. But that's Keith for ya. He was the life of the party of course. Anyway, we had a really fun and BUSY weekend. I am kinda glad it's over to be quite honest.

Pumpkin Patch!

We went to many pumpkin patches this year. We just can't get enough! I just love fall and Halloween and I have to take in as much as I possibly can before it's all over and too cold outside to enjoy it. :) Thankfully the kids love it as much as I do. Trysten's preschool went to the pumpkin patch and of course I forgot my camera like I always do. Another mom there took a couple of pics for us so I will post those later when I get them. We went to a pumpkin patch here with Lynn and David (poor Lani was sick) and it was tons of fun. They had animals, a cow train, a hay ride, corn maze, etc. I took tons of cute pics there but of course I can't add all of them. Also we went to my parents' house the week before Halloween. We went to a patch with them and Kaila and Kate. That was a really awesome pumpkin patch too. My dad took all of the pics so you will see those later too. :) I am really good at remembering my camera eh? Anyway, enjoy the pics! Happy Fall!

Gavin loved this Goat. He would follow it around everywhere and wouldn't leave it alone.

Vegas!

Keith and I got to go to Las Vegas for a few days in the beginning of September. It was a much needed vacation. We have never been able to go anywhere together and it was really, really nice. It definitely wasn't long enough, though. It is so fun just walking the strip and going inside all of the amazing hotels and malls. I finally got to see Phantom of the Opera, which I've wanted to see my whole life, and it was AMAZING!! Even Keith liked it. Then the next night we got to see "Ka" by Cirque Du Soleil. That was pretty awesome too. We weren't going to go to that at first but I am really glad we decided to. Anyway, I really wish I could go there every couple months. That would be nice. :)

Oregon Coast

We went to Seaside for Fourth of July with David and Lani and we had a blast. We went to Tillamook of course and got yummy ice cream and cheese curds. We watched the fireworks on the beach. It was pretty cold and rainy most of the time but the last night we were there it totally cleared up and we got to go out and enjoy the beach and play in the water! The kids loved it. Gavin could have spent hours playing in the sand and Trysten was actually playing in the water and getting soaked. We had such a fun time and are definitely going to make it a yearly trip.
