Trip to Seattle

We went to Seattle for Keith's birthday. Ok it wasn't to have fun for his birthday really, he had to take a test for some training he took a while back, poor guy. It was on Saturday morning at 8am so we decided to go early on Friday and take the kids to the zoo and hang out with my aunt and grandma. Other then the car ride, we had a good time ;). Thank you auntie for letting us stay with you and invade your house! We had a lot of fun at the zoo, even though we weren't there very long. We went with our friends Brian, Hilary, and Carter. Trysten and Gavin really loved the birds. You could feed them and the birds would climb right onto your hand and eat! Trysten would try to hold them, though, and then they would fly away. It was pretty cute watching him.
And, yes, Gavin has a leash on. I always thought it was horrible when I saw people put leashes on their kids but now that I have a crazy one year old boy who wants to get into everything and run everywhere I now know why they do it! :) Here are a few pics from the zoo.

hEllO tHeRe!

SO....it's been a while. Although now that I have the time to sit down and update all of you on our lives, I cannot really think of anything to tell ya. I am tired and looking forward to the day that my little Gavin sleeps through the night. Yes I know he is almost 15 months and he should have been sleeping all night like months ago right? Well, he doesn't and I am starting to think that he never will. ;) Although I did stop breastfeeding and that has helped. So I guess I should be a little more positive right? Gavin is growing up so fast, I swear he grows an inch a week. He is my little helper and has to help me with all of the chores around the house. He vacuums, dusts, and washes the windows and floors. It's a little scary actually. Oh and he is obsessed with mowing the lawn. He hears the lawn mower and he screams and throws a fit until we take him outside so that he can mow too. He eats nonstop and he always grabs things out of the pantry and hands it to me so I will open it for him. (usually the chips) He always wants to do what Trysten is doing and loves playing with our neighbors; Ruby, Nattie, and Tate just as much as his brother does. Both of the boys are very sociable and just love to play with their friends. Although Gavin shows his love by biting and pushing, hopefully it's just a phase that won't last much longer. Trysten is definitely a chatterbox and I swear he talks 24/7 without stopping. He is enjoying the warm weather(finally) and loves playing on his new swing set. His cast is finally off and he has a killer mohawk. I will put a pic of it on here soon. Oh yeah! We got a kitty about 2 months ago. His name is Dirty Goulet (don't ask) and he is freakin' awesome. The kids love him and he is so good with them. And even Keith likes him which is quite amazing. Trysten carries him around the house like a little baby and Gavin tries to pick him up by his tail, hair, or head. You would think that Dirty would get mad and scratch Gavin but he just meows and waits patiently until someone saves him. He's a pretty awesome cat.
We are excited for the summer. We are finally going places this year. We're going to the Oregon coast for Fourth of July weekend. And Trysten gets to go see Thomas the Tank Engine at the end of the month. So it should be fun.
We hope everyone is doing well and we miss you all.

YA-HOOOOO!!!!

Keith is finally done with school! What a relief. I am so thankful to have a husband that works so hard for our family.

Easter FUN!

Our Easter was very laid back this year, but it was very nice. We did do an Easter egg hunt at Lynn's house and the kids really enjoyed it. Trysten had to sit in the wagon with his broken leg, but the Easter bunny must have known about it since the eggs were not in any hard hiding spots.;) Gavin had fun just carrying the basket around. Trysten was pretty excited that the eggs had all orange candies in them since that is his favorite color. They wore matching outfits for church that day and they looked adorable but of course I never got a good picture of them.

mY LiTtle mOnKeY JUmPinG oN tHe BeD.....

Yes. Trysten broke his leg. He was jumping on the bed and fell off and fractured his tibia. Crazy huh? I couldn't believe it. It happened so fast. I knew something was wrong right away when he wouldn't stop crying and wouldn't let me touch it. Poor thing. It was very traumatizing for all of us, let me tell ya. That happened three weeks ago and as you can see he had to get a full leg cast. So that meant no walking, no baths and I had to carry him around everywhere. Fun times, huh? This week we finally got to get the "Tarheels blue" cast off and they put a new half cast on. He can bend at the knee now and walk on it. yeah! Another 3 weeks with the new one on and then he's done! So exciting times for us lately eh? Keith had surgery on his knee just one week before this happened and so it was kinda stressful there for a while but everyone is healing fast thank goodness and doing well and I am so grateful. :)
