Kyson's 1st Birthday

It's crazy to think that Kyson is already 18 months old.  I feel horrible it has taken me so long to post his birthday.  Oh well, I guess now is better than never right?  It was a crazy first year of his life to be quite honest.  Having a third child is HARD.  I thought two was hard but three is way worse.  Kyson was sick a lot his first year of life, probably because Trysten was in kindergarten and bringing home all kinds of fun germs.  But no matter all that we went through and how stressful it was it was all worth it!!
So we had to postpone his birthday since he had a really bad cold.  Here are a few little fun facts about his life here so far :)
He loves to cuddle with his momma
He sucks his thumb and has to hold my hair (more like pulls the heck out of it)
He got teeth at 7 months old (two months earlier than the other boys)
He loves attention and is always trying to be goofy to make you laugh
He walked at around 13-14 months
He loves to do whatever his brothers are doing
He loves to dance
He LOVES to eat!
I am so thankful for his sweet spirit in our home, he is such a joy in my life and he definitely completes our family perfectly.  I love you my little Kyson!

Long time no see!!!

I can't believe it's been so long since I last updated this blog!!! No judging people!!  So I realized that I never posted Christmas 2010 and I will start with that.  We stayed home this year and my family came to us, which was nice instead of us hauling everything over there.  We had a nice time, ate a lot of yummy food, I was brave and made a turkey and a ham for christmas dinner.  We also had Christmas the weekend before at Mammy and Papa's with everybody and had a visit from Santa!  Sorry about the sideways pictures, I still can't figure out why the heck that happens to me.

Toy Search

Gavin lost his FAVORITE toy gun yesterday, and he was devastated.  We searched high and low for the thing and couldn't find it anywhere.  He would not give up.  I told him that maybe we should say a prayer and ask Heavenly Father to help us find it.  So we said a prayer together and not even 2 seconds later I thought I should look in the crack between the toy gun bin and the costume chest and there it was!  He was so happy again and he said a sweet little prayer on his own: "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for helping me find my gun. Amen"  What a perfect moment to teach my almost 4 year old the importance and power of prayer and Faith. :)

Pictures for Uhma's birthday

We decided last minute to get pictures of all of the grandkids for Lynn's birthday on the 2nd.  We knew of a perfect place to take them but couldn't get out there till almost dark.  We took a bunch as fast as we could, with Daddy bouncing and making loud noises to get the kids attention and make them smile.  Keilan didn't like it so much though, so he cried the whole time.  It was pretty funny.  Fun memories! :)  We didn't get very many that turned out but here are a few that are our faves.
Ok seriously, blogger is making me furious lately, It turns my pictures sideways!!!   What the heck!  Well, it is late and I am too tired to figure it out, so you will just have to turn the computer sideways to see them.  Sorry! :)

Trysten Boo

I am so excited and giddy right now.  My sweet little Trysten knows how to read!!!  He never wants to read to me at home for some reason.  I think he gets a little embarrassed or something.  Last night he wanted to stay up late with us like always, so I told him that if he stayed up with me he had to read a book to me.  Holy crud he is awesome!!!  He was sounding out words and I didn't even have to help him.  Aaah I love it.  I probably am a total cheese ball for getting so excited about this but I can't help it! :)  It's so fun.   My big boy is growing up!  Good Job Trysten!  You are such a smart boy and a great joy in our lives!

Another Year Over (almost)

I am behind again.... surprise eh?  I am here to propose my new year's resolution:  I promise to update my blog at least once a week.  Even if I have to stay up in the wee hours of the night, I will get it done.  That seems to be the only time I can get stuff done anyway.  So why not forget about the dishes or the laundry and write in our family journal.  That is what a blog is right? So I think that if I lose a little sleep and slack on the housework and do something even more important like preserving our sweet memories then maybe the next day the kids will be especially good, and the housework will not seem so neverending and overwhelming, and maybe, just maybe the dinner might magically appear on the table.  I might be just dreaming here but it's worth a shot.
So that's it.  We'll see how it goes.  Can you tell I have no motivation behind my typing?  It is 11pm at night, what do expect at this hour?
Oh and by the way, we had a wonderful Christmas... pictures to come....hopefully soon. :)
For now here is the picture we may have sent (or will be soon sending) to you this Holiday season.
