Leavenworth Trip
We went to Leavenworth the last weekend of July with Lynn, David, Lani, and Keilan. We got a cabin in the beautiful woods just outside of town. The cabin was really nice! There was plenty of room for all of us, they had tons of toys and movies for the kids, and a hot tub. We just hung out around the cabin the first day we were there. We tried to go down to the creek but the mosquitos were eating us alive (even after we sprayed bug spray on us) so we had to get inside. We went shopping around town the next day for as long as the kids allowed and then we took them over to the outdoor swimming pool across the street. The kids had a blast there which we were thankful for since we realized there really wasn't much for kids to do around there. They really did have fun though just being away at a new place and hanging out at the cabin with their new guns pretending to shoot tigers. :) We did go on a hike around the lake too, which they enjoyed also. It was a nice break and such a beautiful place. I would love to go there again during the winter and go sledding!

Having fun in the pool with Daddy
Thumbs up!

The Fair
It has been a few years since we have been to the fair. The last time we went Gavin was just a baby and Trysten was too scared to go on any rides. It was so much fun this year! The boys went on the airplanes and the dizzy dragons, they LOVED it! Trysten saw this bungee jumping thing and really wanted to go on it so we were totally willing to let him try it out. I thought he was going to wimp out right when they hooked him up to the thing but he didn't! You can go crazy high on the thing and the guy tried to make him go higher and then his eyes would get really wide and he'd say "ok not that high!" We got it on video on Keith's phone. I wish you can see his eyes but the video's not that great. Gavin went on it too and he started going really high but then realized he had to go pee really bad so he had to get off. Oh well, he enjoyed the few jumps he got. :) The boys also really liked looking at the horses and the bunnies and playing the fun games. And of course the food was yummy too! We had a fun day!

4th of July
We were home this year for 4th of July, which was kinda nice. We spent way too much money and bought a bunch of awesome fireworks. David, Lani and Keilan came over and watched them with us and then we had a campout in our tents in the backyard. Really roughin' it huh? Well, we thought we would try it out before we actually did full on camping out in the wilderness. It was actually a really chilly evening compared to our normal 100 degree 4th of July's we've had in the past. We had to get blankets out to watch the fireworks and I think I brought out all of the blankets in our linen closet to stay warm in our tent for the night. (we don't own any sleeping bags yet) We roasted marshmallows and made smores and stayed up way too late. We got a little crazy and started posing like crazy people with David's bb guns. We're such nerds. Oh well, Trysten had fun with it. :)
Sparklers!

uh....
I have way more of these photos but I will stop here. :) (we were having fun can you tell?)
And Trysten was the only one who slept well that night I think. (and got to sleep in)
We had fun, but I have a feeling we will not be camping out in the wilderness any time soon. Not as fun as I thought it would be with a baby and all. Thank goodness our house was right next door! :)

Catching up...
Okay here we go. So back in July or maybe the end of June (I can't remember) we finally took a trip to Boise to see my sister and her family. We had a lot of fun and were sad it was such a short stay but we will get there again soon. The boys and Kate all had a fun time together having sleepovers and playing at their awesome neighborhood pool. (so stinkin' jealous) We went to Wahooz Family Fun Center which is so frickin' awesome I can't stand it. I wish we had one of those here. And then we went to their nice little zoo. It was the perfect size for boys with short attention spans. Anyway, here are a few pictures of our trip.
Standing in line to go on the go-carts
Here we go!
WOO HOO!!
They got soaking wet on the bumper boats, you can tell Keith really got into it
I don't think Kate was having as much fun ;)
Kyson started sucking on his foot for the first time while we were there

Gav Gav
Gavin is my middle child. (you can totally tell) He's a handful but you can't help but laugh at the things he does and says. He keeps me on my toes let me tell ya. He is always surprising me. He does things that you never even would have thought a child would ever think of doing. Like the other day for example; The majority of Gavin's conversations happen while daddy or Trysten are in sittin on the pot. Gavin especially likes to chat while Trysten is on the toilet. And since Trysten poops like his dad they are in there for quite some time. So he must get bored because he wasted a brand new bottle of soap and smeared it all over the bathroom floor. (it was a bath and body works soap too!!) Yeah I wasn't too happy. Or how every time he goes to the bathroom he forgets to aim and pees all over the floor. Or when he makes every single mess you can every think of all throughout the house. But then there are times when he makes me smile and forget the naughty side of him. Like when he chats your ear off in his cute little voice, or he pretends he's a baby tiger, or he tells stories, or when he wakes me up way too early with his face in mine and says "me want warm chocolate milk," or when he just wants to cuddle up next to you and grab your ear. I love the things he says too. He sure has an imagination. A couple days ago Trysten came out of the house and sneezed a ton and I said "Where did those come from?" Then Gavin yells out "THEY CAME FROM THE POWER OF GOD!!" Man that boy makes me smile.

A little behind....
I am WAY WAY WAAAAAAAY behind on my blog. Just wanted let you know. I have many pictures to add but I honestly don't know when I will have time to upload and post. Someday soon hopefully....
Summer has been absolutely crazy around here. We have been busy every single weekend and I am so behind on my housework it's kinda gross. I've got a laundry pile the size of a small village in my hallway. The kids haven't gone to bed any earlier than 9pm every night. And we are constantly going going going! Oh well, this is how summer is supposed to be right?
And you wanna know a little secret? I am really wanting fall to get here. Is that a bad thing? I want the cool evenings and the golden leaves, pumpkins, corn stalks, apples, apple cider, apple pie, HALLOWEEN.I guess I should stop there. Have I mentioned before that I LOVE Halloween? Probably more than Christmas. Someday I will have my own ginormous pumpkin patch and haunted house. :) I know I'm weird. I've already got my kids obsessed too. ;)
ANYHOO, I'll stop rambling. New pics coming soon, I promise.
